A stop switch should be used with your AIR wind turbine to provide a safe, convenient method of shutting down the turbine. The switch disconnects the battery and then shorts the turbine output which electrically brakes the turbine ca using it to slow to a stop. In high winds the blades will spin slowly. Shorting the AIR wind turbine will not cause any damage.
